Sports & Fitness

Better health leads to a better you. Our Kroc Center is available to members for strength, cardio, endurance, flexibility and agility training. Additional training classes, like equipment instruction and developing a proper workout routine, are also available to help you get the most out of your workout.

KIDS KARATE

A program for children that helps build self-esteem, confidence, discipline, leadership skills, and fundamentals of self-defense through Shotokan Karate.  The Kroc Center is a registered Dojo with the Japan Karate Association/American Federation. Currently, there is a wait list for Kids Karate.

DROP-IN SPORTS

Looking for a way to meet new people, be active, and try something new? Look no further — The Kroc Center offers a wide variety of open, drop-in sports sessions throughout the week.

Education

At the Kroc Center, we value education greatly. Whether your child needs academic support or structured enrichments, the Kroc Center is the place to be!  Make sure to register in advance to guarantee your spot in our After and Middle School programs.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

$65 per month for 2017-2018
Available Monday-Friday, August-June on days when school is in session.

The After School Program offers daily homework tutoring, a nutritious snack, recreation and enrichment activities for youth in grades K-8th, Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm.

Enrichment activities include but are not limited to Art, Literacy, Science and Computers.  Students in middle school also receive mentoring for high school and access to workshops in community service, leadership, organization, and practical skills.

Daily recreation in the Gymnasium, Dance Studio, Courtyard or Game Room keeps children physically active and healthy.

Children can develop character in a safe and nurturing environment. Children can also choose to participate in weekly Salvation Army Youth Programs, such as Adventure Corps Rangers, Explorers, Sunbeams and Girl Guards Troops Programs, and the Kroc Center Music Program.

Music Classes

Immersing your child in the arts is a great way to lead a more fulfilling and enriching life. Whether it’s learning to play an instrument or read music, there is a place to develop your talent and pursue your dreams here at The Kroc Center.

Strings Program

The Kroc Center Strings Program is available for students ages 7-16. We offer both beginner and intermediate classes on Violin and Cello. Viola lessons are available by request only for experienced players. Our students are taught by highly qualified instructors using the Essential Elements for Strings curriculum. There are several performance opportunities available for our students every year including a Christmas Recital and final Spring end concert. This year, we will also be offering a Soloist Night Recital midway through our Spring season (January - May). Classes are on Monday and Wednesday evenings, Beginners at 4:15pm - 5:00pm and Intermediate/Advanced from 5:15pm - 6:00pm.

Activities for Seniors

Stay active and have fun with your friends. The Kroc Center offers a variety  of activities for those ages 60 and over, ages 55 and disabled, or of veteran status (any age).
